Here are some frequently asked questions; please feel free to contact me if you have any more!
Where are you located?
I am located in Kuna, Idaho. Your session fee includes travel within 25 miles. If it’s more than 25 miles, additional travel fees apply.
What types of sessions do you offer?
I currently offer engagement, maternity, newborn, family, child, senior, and pet sessions.
Where do your sessions take place?
All sessions are done on location outdoors with the exception of newborns, which are photographed in my home studio. The sky is the limit in what awesome places we can choose from! During your consultation prior to the session, we will discuss locations and what style of photos you’re needing.
What should we wear?
Your outfit should reflect the style of your session. Feel free to bring a couple of outfits, acessories, and props. Make sure that your outfits (for an engagement or group session) aren’t too “matchy”, but compliment each other well. Solid colors are best, or a very small-scale stripe/print. Fabrics that are too “busy” detract from your beautiful faces! A great resource on clothing tips is Pinterest. The best advice, though, is to wear something that makes you feel great about yourself!
Can I bring props?
Yes, yes, yes! Props add so much to your “story” and of what makes you, you! Some ideas to get your brain turning: a family quilt, a picnic basket, a cool old car, a favorite hat, a mug of hot chocolate, a musical instrument, balloons, a basket of wildflowers… you get the idea! I always bring a few props with me too, so we can collaborate.
What about bad weather?
We always pray for good weather, but there are times when we do need to reschedule for a better date. I will keep an eye on the weather reports the week of your session and will contact you as soon as possible if the weather looks unwilling to clear up.
What does the session fee include?
Your session fee covers my time and talent on location for the duration of your session, as well as time spent planning and preparing, and time editing your photos. Your images will be edited to suit the overall feel of each photo, and light skin retouching will be completed if necessary.
Can I have my unedited images?
No, I’m sorry. Images that have not been post-processed are incomplete and are not suitable for printing or sharing. I take pride in my work and cannot in good faith sell or give you incomplete work. Please take time to view my galleries to familiarize yourself with my style prior to booking your session.
Where should I print my images?
Any prints or products ordered through me will be printed at a professional lab to ensure the highest possible quality and preservation. I cannot guarantee the quality of images printed through a non-professional lab. Should you opt to purchase digital files, I recommend printing them through http://www.mpix.com for quality that is far superior to drug store or grocery store printing services.
Why do digital files cost so much?
When you purchase a digital file from me, I relinquish all printing rights to you. You may reproduce this image as many times as you like and create as many prints and products with it as you wish. Road Less Traveled Photography retains the copyrights and intellectual ownership of all images.
Do you have a referral program?
There is no greater compliment than referring my services to your friends and family. All referrals that book a session with me will earn you two free 5x7s for either a past or future session.
